Heat Pump Grants

Exciting News for UK Areas: Free Heat Pump Grants Now Accessible via Enhanced ECO Scheme!

The latest Energy Company Obligation (ECO) scheme brings government grants for free heat pumps to properties in various UK areas. Heat pumps represent an innovative and energy-efficient heating system that harnesses heat from the outdoor air or ground, delivering hot water for your central heating and taps within your home.

Heat pumps generally fall into two categories: ground source, drawing heat from the ground, and air source, collecting ambient air heat and compressing it to provide optimal heating for your home. Embrace this opportunity to experience sustainable and cost-effective heating solutions in UK areas.

The revitalized Energy Company Obligation Scheme (ECO4) now focuses on offering comprehensive energy efficiency upgrades to properties located in rural parts of Scotland, where households face fuel poverty.

Numerous homes in these areas still rely on fossil fuel heating systems, such as oil and LPG boilers. The new grant scheme aims to provide free upgrades for these properties. To be eligible for a free heat pump, at least one occupant of the property must be receiving benefits or tax credits. Additionally, the property must meet minimum insulation requirements, including wall and roof insulation.

If you reside in a stone or brick-built property with an older heating system, wall insulation is a prerequisite before the installation of a heat pump. The great news is that both the air source heat pump and the wall insulation will be provided free of charge as part of the grant scheme.
